ABOUT US

HISTORY

Yelinko Builders was originated in 1973 by Robert Yelinko Sr. as a cabinetmaking and general remodeling business. Sons, Robert Jr. and Michael learned the trade early by working with Robert Sr.

In 1988 after graduating from technical school, Robert Jr. became a partner in the business and we built our first of many custom homes, A colonial two story that featured our own custom kitchen and solid oak trim package. Michael Yelinko joined the partnership in 1992, the focus of the business was building custom and spec homes, but we remained a presence in the remodeling field.

Over the past 30 years, Robert Jr. and Michael have worked side by side with sub-contractors and co-workers in every phase of the custom home and remodeling business, cultivating working relationships and acquiring extensive experience.

Currently, Yelinko Builders continues to be a family run business, award winning members of the Lehigh Valley builders Association and certified green home professionals.

MATERIALS & CRAFTMANSHIP

For over 30 years Yelinko Builders has been building custom and spec. homes with high quality materials that consistently exceed industry standards. For additional information please refer to our standard specifications page.

Our cabinetmaking background is the foundation of our craftsmanship. When building a cabinet everything has to be precise because all of your work is visible. We utilize that same attention to detail on every phase of building a home, including what’s behind the drywall. Things like framing, rough plumbing, electrical, HVAC and insulation are done to the best of our ability as if they will be on full display at the end of the project.

GREEN BUILDING & ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The single greatest environmental impact of a home is most likely its ongoing use of energy, so building for low energy use is one of our main priorities.  Cost effective ways to take advantage of the sun, better ways to insulate the structure and making the best use of building materials are all components in green building. Employing these methods takes careful planning and execution, some potentially increasing costs during construction while others can actually reduce costs and collectively reduce energy consumption, creating long-term savings.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Throughout the construction process you will consult directly with owners, Robert or Michael with questions or concerns regarding your project. This direct communication combined with our consistent effort to leave no loose ends, significantly reduces checklist items at the end of the job. We are proud to say that as a result of our use of quality materials and fine workmanship, we have very few callbacks for warranty work.
